Available Positions:
Senior Estimator:
This position provides technical direction, oversight, and leadership to the Estimating team.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare conceptual estimates for budgetary purposes.
• Review and evaluate estimates submitted by the estimating team.
• Supervises the daily activities and assigns and prioritizes the work assignments of the team.
• Maintains Estimating Bid Schedule.
• Actively leads all Estimating Bid reviews and provides feedback to estimators.
• Various duties as assigned by the V.P. of Business Development.
• Intermittent Travel required.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree (construction management or engineering degree preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of experience required in the Heavy Civil (highway or bridge) or Power Segment.
• Experience managing, directing, and following up with appropriate company personnel, subcontractors, and general contractors.
• Experience presenting/interacting with members of Senior Management
• Thorough knowledge of HCSS (HeavyBid) estimating software
• Experience in P3 Pursuits (Public Private Partnership)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Experience designing, building, and working on large civil or industrial construction projects
• Excellent computer skills with company software (MS Office, Adobe) and well-developed organization skills using the computer
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and management of multiple tasks.
• Decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected events or delays.
• Capable of speaking to suppliers, clients, and owners while understanding the disparate priorities of each party.
